Murphy et al [30,31] examined large national samples of veterans that completed the CARF-accredited Tampa VA inpatient IPRP. Veterans typically experienced pre-post improvements in pain-related (intensity, interference, fear of movement, and catastrophizing), psychological (negative affect and relaxation), and functional (vitality and sleep) PROs with effect sizes ranging from small to large.
