Co-Designing, Developing, and Testing a Mental Health Platform for Young People Using a Participatory Design Methodology in Colombia: Mixed Methods Study

Co-Designing, Developing, and Testing a Mental Health Platform for Young People Using a Participatory Design Methodology in Colombia: Mixed Methods Study

Because if you say, “Well, I’m a woman, a teenager, a girl,” it would give you more tailored options, right? Participants emphasized the importance of being heard, suggesting the platform should offer options for discussing MH with professionals via videoconference, call, or chat while also highlighting the need for both crisis support and follow-up care (annotations: 33/504, CF=6.5%).

Wearable Artificial Intelligence for Sleep Disorders: Scoping Review

Wearable Artificial Intelligence for Sleep Disorders: Scoping Review

To ensure a thorough and systematic approach, this scoping review adhered to the PRISMA-Sc R (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews). A detailed account of adherence to PRISMA-Sc R guidelines is provided in Multimedia Appendix 1, outlining the structured process we followed. A comprehensive search was conducted across several electronic databases, including MEDLINE, Psyc INFO, Embase, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, Scopus, and Google Scholar.

Trust and Privacy Concerns Among Cancer Survivors Who Did Not Visit a Research Website Offering Free Genetic Counseling Services for Families: Survey Study

Trust and Privacy Concerns Among Cancer Survivors Who Did Not Visit a Research Website Offering Free Genetic Counseling Services for Families: Survey Study

Between March and July 2023, we sent recruitment packets randomly to 650 survivors representing three groups: (1) an active refusal group consisting of 230 survivors who had explicitly declined participation in the YFC parent study; (2) a passive refusal group consisting of 220 survivors whose mailing address was passively confirmed by the GCR (eg, a relative answered a call), yet who neither visited the study website nor explicitly declined participation; and (3) a lost group consisting of 200 survivors for

The Impact of Technology-Enabled Medical Nutrition Therapy on Weight Loss in Adults With Overweight and Obesity: Retrospective Observational Study

The Impact of Technology-Enabled Medical Nutrition Therapy on Weight Loss in Adults With Overweight and Obesity: Retrospective Observational Study

Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) is a treatment modality where a registered dietitian (RD) meets one-on-one with a patient to provide individualized lifestyle recommendations. MNT can be used to address a wide range of health conditions and may occur in various practice settings, such as outpatient and inpatient facilities. Following an initial intake, an RD meets with a patient regularly to individualize their treatment plan and help patients achieve their health goals.

Characterization and Evaluation of Department of Veterans Affairs Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities–Accredited Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Programs: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Program Evaluation

Characterization and Evaluation of Department of Veterans Affairs Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities–Accredited Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Programs: Protocol for a Mixed Methods Program Evaluation

Subtitle A of the 2016 Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) mandates that each VA medical center have a designated pain management team to treat and coordinate pain care for veterans [15]. This approach to pain management favors a biopsychosocial approach, which conceptualizes chronic pain conditions as complex and multidimensional, emphasizing interdisciplinary integrated models of care, as outlined in the VA’s Stepped Care Model for Pain Management (SCM-PM) [16-18].

Effectiveness of Self-Training With a Web-Based Digital Health Application Versus Physiotherapy in the Treatment of Disorders of the Patella: Randomized Controlled Trial

Effectiveness of Self-Training With a Web-Based Digital Health Application Versus Physiotherapy in the Treatment of Disorders of the Patella: Randomized Controlled Trial

Conventional exercise therapy is typically administered on an outpatient basis under the guidance of a physiotherapist. However, the benefits of having a trained physiotherapist may be offset by drawbacks such as difficulties in scheduling appointments or a limited number of training sessions available due to regulatory limitations of German statutory health insurance.

Area-Level Indices and Health Care Use in a Pediatric Brain and Central Nervous System Tumor Cohort: Observational Study

Area-Level Indices and Health Care Use in a Pediatric Brain and Central Nervous System Tumor Cohort: Observational Study

Indices may be useful for informing clinical care, policy, and research; however, many publicly available indices exist without clear guidance or a gold standard for when or which index should be used. In many cases, investigators choose indices based on familiarity or available geographic information [21]. Our work seeks to examine the concordance of 3 indices by testing these indices on a single-state pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumor cohort.

A Digital Home-Based Health Care Center for Remote Monitoring of Side Effects During Breast Cancer Therapy: Prospective, Single-Arm, Monocentric Feasibility Study

A Digital Home-Based Health Care Center for Remote Monitoring of Side Effects During Breast Cancer Therapy: Prospective, Single-Arm, Monocentric Feasibility Study

Therefore, we aimed to establish a digital home-based health care center (DHHC) that includes a smartphone to assess Qo L and document visual side effects, a smartwatch to record ECGs, and a white blood cell (WBC) system to analyze a patient’s WBCs from capillary blood. The primary focus of this study was to assess the feasibility and acceptance of such a digital remote system for cancer care in order to tailor a patient-centered solution and improve access to quality care.

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation to Maximize Hip Abductor Strength and Reduce Fall Risk in Older Veterans: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation to Maximize Hip Abductor Strength and Reduce Fall Risk in Older Veterans: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

We will enroll veterans aged 55 years and older who are currently at risk for a fall (defined as a four-square step test [FSST] time >12 seconds [24], or a history of a previous fall in the last year, or a reported fear of falling). This study has 6 phases, completed over ~15 months per person. Figure 1 details the study design, and Figure 2 shows the study timeline. The study protocol follows the SPIRIT (Standard Protocol Items: Recommendations for Interventional Trials) guidelines [25].

Adapting a Text Messaging Intervention to Improve Diabetes Medication Adherence in a Spanish-Speaking Population: Qualitative Study

In this study, we used a multistage, stakeholder-driven, iterative method of language adaptation to adapt the original REACH barrier content to a Latino, Spanish-speaking population with T2 D, focusing on identifying barriers to diabetes medication adherence of relevance to this population.
