Participants for the workshop and focus group studies were contacted based on their previous expression of interest in the DELONELINESS project, as specified by Rees et al [4]. Invitations were sent via email newsletters within a housing network specialized for older people. We engaged individuals who had previously responded through a newsletter in a study involving older participants.
