Implementation of a Mobile Health Approach to a Long-Lasting Insecticidal Net Uptake Intervention for Malaria Prevention Among Pregnant Women in Tanzania: Process Evaluation of the Hati Salama (HASA) Randomized Controlled Trial Study

The use of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) by pregnant women in malaria-endemic regions of Africa has shown decreased outcomes of placental malaria, low birth weight, and fetal loss [3]. As such, ITNs, and specifically, long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs), are a core malaria prevention tool, recommended by the World Health Organization [4].
